WebMinwax polycrylic sealer (blue-green label) is the best way to go. It's water based which makes it safe with the plastics in the paint and clay. You can get in a 1/2 pint can that will last forever! Do several thin layers! Or you can buy the premo stuff. But I find it discolors and wears over time.
